Elm Grove Sanctuary provides the perfect environment for a digital detox. Visitors are welcome for family holidays, wedding receptions, and retreats, with cabins and camping options Set in the picturesque Goobarragandra Valley, 28 kms east of Tumut, we are surrounded by Kosciusko National Park with spectacular mountain scenery. There's plenty to do while visiting: fishing, bushwalking, swimming, stargazing, picnics, campfires or just sitting under an Elm tree with a book. We have Campsites by the river with a simple camp kitchen and basic toilets available. These sites have easy 2WD access and space to turn a caravan around. We also have a cabin that you can book that has a fully set up kitchen, wood fire and plenty of accommodation with a view. We have dogs, and are a Dog friendly campsite. (We also have chickens, so if you bring a dog, please make sure that it is going to be friends with our chickens, or kept on a leash.) There is no mobile reception, so you will not be disturbed by the outside world when you visit paradise.Welcome to Elm Grove Sanctuary community. We are a gathering of like-minded families living simple rural life in community. We love the land and aim to be as self-sufficient and organic as possible.  We have campsites available at our picnic grounds by the banks of the Goobarragandra River. If you're looking for a digital detox or a secluded getaway then this slice of paradise might be just the place for a weekend away.  Enjoy swimming in the fountain of youth, the joining place of two rivers, the Peak and the Goobarragandra. It includes a BBQ area and a wood-fired pizza oven.  We have composting toilets (no shower), and we are dog friendly. We are a family friendly farm, wanting to share our land with other families.

Great off leash dog friendly camp
We loved our weekend camping at Elm Grove. The shady area under the Elms and the river were just what we needed for a relaxing weekend. Patrick is a great host, very approachable and keeps the area well maintained. We love how dog friendly Patrick's place is and having the option for off lead was wonderful.

Under the shade of the Elms
We did enjoy the spot. We parked on the back corner under the Elms with room for a big van like ours. Plenty of shade so for this spot you'll need an external solar panel. But because of the shade we had a very cool van not getting hot from the 32 degree days. Our only complaint would be the kids from the community down the road do an excessive amount of driving and walking to and from the swimming hole and camp kitchen making a fair bit of noise when travelling. But it normally was pretty quiet after 8pm

Family with Dogs
Great spot, very quiet and lots of room. Water access was great 20 meters from camp. Really good for young kids. Highly recommend for families with kids looking to keep entertained.

Nature & swimming oasis
LOVED this campsite, best Hipcamp so far. Plenty of space, choice of totally shaded spots under the trees or a lush green field with shade in the arvo. Beautiful swimming in the river. Friendly host and friendly locals. Dog was off leash almost the whole time, with lots of other dogs visiting our site. Recommend bringing your own toilet.
